Another set started, but never finished

 So I tried.

I really tried.  It is amazing that I didn't find time to finish a set with COVID and lockdown.  But lockdown actually was what halted everything.  The reason being is my job shifted to work from home.  Spending all day in one spot, and then trying to be in that same spot putting out a set of NFL Showdown cards was not going to happen.  All motivation to sit back in that same desk chair at that same desk for another couple of hours a night was (hopefully understandably) non-existent.

But all was not for nothing.  I did (basically) complete one division worth of cards.  And I am going to share those cards here and now.  Hopefully, this will help motivate me to try again in 2021.  I actually just cleared all of my old spreadsheets (as new copies, of course) and entered in some names that are cemented into getting a card made (because there OBVIOUSLY has to be a Tom Brady card for the Bucs).  I won't be able to enter stats until the end of the year, but starting now on getting photos for the cards should help in getting the set done later.

It might actually be happening

I have spent almost all of my free time recently working on a set.  Yes, an actual set.  Right now, I have 441 player cards planned.  55 of those cards will be "great" cards with the potential to make them foils (will test with the printer once I get them all made).  As a Bucs fan, I started with them.  I then moved on to a friend's favorite team in the same division, the Saints.  Both of those teams are done.  Yes, done.  With barcodes and numbers and are ready for printing.  I have three more players and then the Panthers will be done as well.  When they are finished, I am going to finish up with the Falcons before moving on to another division.

So a set never got made....

but that doesn't mean I can't still have fun from time to time.  Threw this together as Shaq Barrett was deserving of the Pro Bowl and 1st Team All-Pro and got snubbed in both.

Starting to put the cards together

Well, it has been a long off-season of football.  I have filled my time with MLB Showdown and other baseball, but always had this waiting for a good way to complete the statistical side of these cards.  I finally got to a point where I feel comfortable, so I give you (of all teams, don't ask why I started with them) the first five cards of the 2017 set.  I appreciate any feedback.  My main goal was to make sure the charts and barcodes worked, and everything is moving forward for a full set to be completed.

More Content Coming

Welcome everyone!  This is a project that I have been working on for a while, but I am trying to bring back NFL Showdown, the card game originally created by Wizards of the Coast ©.  I am working to get a possible app made for scanning the cards, but for now, I am working on a full set of approx. 400 cards.  A preview of the cards (sans points) can be seen below.  Please check back as I add more content and give more updates!
